Philadelphia, PA — Health Partners Plans (HPP) today announced its award-winning Medicaid plan will be available throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This new expansion will include all five zones of Pennsylvania’s Medical Assistance Program for the HealthChoices Physical Health Plans.

Prior to this expansion, Health Partners (Medicaid) was available to residents in Southeast Pennsylvania region. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) selected the company in 2020 to serve all Pennsylvania residents after a rigorous Request for Applications process.

Notices are being mailed to all Medicaid recipients enrolled in a physical health managed care plan. The letter explains whether or not a person’s current plan will continue to be available after September 1, all options for health plans in their region, important dates, and how to choose or change their plan. All Medicaid enrollees can change their plan at any time. Members who are currently enrolled with a managed care organization who is no longer participating in the HealthChoices program will need to enroll with a new plan. These members have until August 16 to choose a new health plan or they will be assigned a health plan by DHS. The new health plan assignments will take effect on September 1, 2022.
