Pediatric Oral Health
Health Partners Plans encourages participating PCPs to discuss the importance of oral health with their patients. Because tooth decay is among the most common health conditions of childhood, PCPs should talk with their patients and caregivers about daily dental health practices, including brushing, flossing and using a fluoride rinse.
We encourage participating providers to take an active role in the ongoing management of members’ care, particularly members with chronic conditions. HPP seeks to ensure the coordination of care across specialties and care settings.
This grid provides examples of evidence-based guidelines for pediatric oral health.
