Inovalon ePass Update

Health Partners Plans (HPP) appreciates your participation in our network and we strive to make improvements to the delivery of services to our members/your patients at all times. We write you today with an important request. While updating your member(s) health documentation, we have identified Health Partners Medicare members who require updated medical records. We ask that you schedule an encounter with your patients to update the necessary information.

We have partnered with Inovalon, an independent company that provides secure clinical documentation services, to process your completed patient assessments. For your convenience, we encourage you to submit patient assessment data to us via ePASS®, Inovalon’s web-based tool, at https://epass.inovalon.com. ePASS now includes functionality that allows SOAP notes to be completed via telehealth using audio and video encounters. Please note that per CMS regulations SOAP notes must be signed and submitted within 180 days of the completed assessment. The ePASS form does not take the place of the medical record documentation for the visit; it is to be completed in addition.

As a benefit to you, we are offering an incentive for each assessment performed for your Health Partners Medicare members. You will receive $150.00 per Health Partners Medicare member, per year for SOAP notes submitted through ePASS.

Inovalon will provide the following to assist you:

  • A convenient scheduling list to help you schedule appointments with your HPP patients
  • An ePASS Quick Start Guide with step-by-step instructions for submitting through ePASS

To help you get started, we have sent letters to your members encouraging them to schedule an appointment with you to discuss their care.
