We’d like to invite you to a webinar, “Discussion on Cultural Competency and Disparities in Health Care,” on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
HPP’s clinical programs work with your treatment plan to support your practice and your Health Partners (Medicaid) and KidzPartners (CHIP) patients.
Key Reasons to Attend
By attending, you’ll learn how to access our clinical programs and resources for patients, including:
- Identification and appropriate referral for mental health, drug and alcohol and substance abuse services.
- Sensitivity training on diverse and Special Needs populations such as persons who are deaf or hard of hearing: how to obtain sign language interpreters and how to work effectively with sign language interpreters.
- Cultural Competency and how to access “Think Cultural Health,” A Physician’s Practical Guide to Culturally Competent Care, including: the right of Members with LEP to engage in effective communication in their language; how to obtain interpreters, and; how to work effectively with interpreters.
- Treating Special Needs populations, including the right to treatment for individuals with disabilities.
