Updated Procedures Requiring Authorization
Following up to our communication dated September 9, 2022 – Resources for Prior Authorization Questions, we have since posted a document on our website which provides you authorization requirements at the procedure code level by line of business.
This reference document should further help you identify if a service requires prior authorization. Utilizing this reference document along with the HPP Prior Authorization Requirements September 2022, referenced in our September 9, 2022, communication will provide you with an enhanced self-service approach to managing prior authorizations. Both documents can be found by visiting https://www.healthpartnersplans.com/providers/prior-authorization.
In addition, we have also made this information available through an automated telephonic feature. You can obtain procedure code level authorization requirements by calling 1-877-304-3853.
Again, we encourage you to take advantage of our new HP Connect Provider Portal, powered by HealthTrio, for those services requiring authorization directly through Health Partners Plans as well as the eviCore portal for services requiring authorization through them.
